Keith Arnatt, Anne Carlisle, Eileen Little, Kieron Lyons

Ffotofactions foregrounds the work of four artists living and working in Wales, each using photography in very different and diverse ways. From Anne Carlisle’s photo/sound sculptures, to Eileen Little’s photo/text installations, to Kieran Lyons’ photo media works and Keith Arnatt’s ‘in your face’ large-scale photographic prints, Ffotofactions destroys any myths about the predominant role of documentary photography in Wales. An essay by Martin Lister, The Living Death of Photography and Walter Benjamin’s Ghost, traces the historical precedents in relation to new image-making technologies, directly reflected in the work of these four idiosyncratic artists.
